Sour Puss Pickles

Signature Select Baby Pickles Kosher Dill --- Flavor: 5/10 Texture: 6/10 --- I bought these as emergency pickles. I went on a trip with some family and they drove me up the wall. I needed something to take the edge off so I left the hotel and bought a quick jar to enjoy. They did the trick and helped me deal with the chaos. Crunchy, good meat to skin texture, no complaints but nothing special.

Wickles Dirty Dill Okra --- Flavor: 5/10 Texture: 6/10 --- These were slightly spicy. Not too spicy that they were off putting, just enough to have the flavor of the pepper. There is a little more slime than I've had in other pickled okra but not near as bad as cooked okra. The skin is a good texture.

  Crisp & Co  Grand Dill Pickles --- Flavor: 5/10 Texture: 7/10 --- Description tons of spices and flavors that are all over the place! They smell like they'd be really sweet but they aren't? I suspect maybe anise or clove, but cant place it. They are tart and make your mouth pucker up.

Panera Pickle Spear that came with sandwich --- Flavor: 5/10 Texture: 5/10 --- Run of the mill, basic old deli pickle. Limp but ok on a sandwich. Fermented pickles seem to be the preferred pickle sandwhich places give

Mi Lady Bakery Pickle Spear that came with grilled cheese --- Flavor: 5/10 Texture: 2/10 --- The skin on this pickle was so tough! The meat was able to be bit through but when you got to the skin, could not bite through it with my front teeth. Had to use my pack teeth to bite the skin off and even then trying to chew it was like chewing on a piece of rubber and aluminum foil. Flavor would have been enjoyable if the skin wasn't make of NASA space rubber

mario since 1937 greek kalamata pitted olives --- Flavor: 1-1.5/10 Texture: 5/10 --- these were on clerance and I now understand why. They were not sharp and salty like I am used to kalamatas being. They were oily and bland, no real flavor to them. I am glad they were so cheap cause I would have been pissed paying that much for them

Boar's Head Kosher Dill  Pickle Spears --- Flavor: 7/10 Texture: 7/10 --- This is how I remember Claussen tasting back in the day. (I feel like Claussen now use more sugar and have more of a preservative flavor than a brine flavor) These have the old school brine flavor. They are really crunchy and crisp. Flavor is mild but through and enjoyable.I would love to have these on a sub.

The Dutch Kettle Home Style Kosher Dill Pickle Spears --- Flavor: 7/10 Texture: 5/10 --- Smelled garlicky but wasn't over powering. I sorta wish there was more garlic taste. I ate the garlic in the bottom of the jar with a spoon and liked it more than the pickle.  

Cleveland Kitchen Pickled Asian Vegitables --- Flavor: 8/10 Texture: 9/10 --- so delicious, They are slightly sweet but not in a gross sweet pickle way. It is that sweet rice vinegar flavor, they are crisp but blold flavor, I would LOVE to have this on a taco

  Mt. Olive Simply Pickles Kosher Dill Spears --- Flavor: 6/10 Texture: 4/10 --- True to name, so simple ans basic. No real comments but that’s not a bad thing.the skin is just a little too firm that where its cut can give you a paper cut in the corners of your mouth if you're not careful!

Vlasic Fresh Packed Ovals Hamburger Dill Chips --- Flavor: 7/10 Texture: 7/10 --- These were/are a comfort pickle of mine. The chips are just a little bigger than most pickle chips because of the oval shape and I really like it.  They were soft but not squishy, have a good turmeric flavor, and just the right thickness. They do seem to be harder to find now, our grocery store doesn't carry them anymore. They have seemed to change the packaging and the recipe just a little, not sure what, and I can't put my finger on it, but they're just a little different than when they were my go to a few years ago.

Claussen Kosher Dill Deli Style Halves --- Flavor: 7/10 Texture: 3/10 --- what a disappointment!! The skin on these was super hard! Had a hard time chewing the skin, really firm and hard to bite through. The rest of the meat and seeds were delicious and had a great crisp flavor but the skin really took away from my enjoyment of them. Much thicker than an apple skin, I can’t even describe what this thickness was similar to

Amish Wedding Old Fashioned Horseradish Pickles --- Flavor: n/a Texture: n/a --- These had too much stuff floating in them for me  to feel safe eating. I might need to so some research, because make that's how they are SUPPOSED to be and I just don't know it. When I opened the jar they had a fishy smell so I did not try one.

Dietz & Watson Freshly Packed & Super Crunchy Kosher Pickle Spears --- Flavor: 4/10 Texture: 7/10 --- pretty bland fermented pickle. There isn't a lot of spice flavor profile to these which is disappointing The texture is really good, crisp and crunchy

Wickles Dirty Dill Spears --- Flavor: 6/10 Texture: 5/10 --- Slightly spicy but not too much. Texture is a basic texture, meat and skin both good. Wickles has the cutest jar artwork, it makes me want to rate all jar artwork

Mt.Olive Mini Stuffers Hamburger Dill Chips Made with Sea Salt --- Flavor: 6/10 Texture: 5/10 --- These are a god chip size. Some chips are too thin and smoosh but these seem like a good size, they're walking the line but make the cut. They seem like a good relish pickle

Talk o Texas Crisp Okra Pickles Mild --- Flavor: 6/10 Texture: 8/10 --- I don't care for cooked okra become of the slime, but pickling them seems to do a good job of not making them too slimy. Good flavor, subtle they're firm but not too hard or woody

Boar's Head Kosher Dill Pickle Chips --- Flavor: 5/10 Texture: 2/10 --- All over the place with cutting these. Irregular shapes and thickness, maybe they need to calibrate their machines or maybe they are cut by hand. They have a good crunch but some had sand in them which distracts and takes away from them immediately. Hurt my teeth on the sand and was nervous the rest of the time eating them. Flavor is good but a little blank. You can smell them really well and they smell stronger than they taste.

Garlic Festival Smoked Pickled Garlic --- Flavor: 8/10 Texture: 8/10 --- delicious! The smoked flavor is that artificial smoke I usually don't care for, but its just the right amount here to not be over powering amazing texture, not too squishy but not crispy wish I had gotten the big jar
