Sour Puss Pickles

 Homemade Roadside Stand Dahlonega GA --- Flavor: 7/10 Texture: 8/10 --- There was a gentlemen on the side of the road selling these and I decided to give them a shot. The lid was sealed really well and they looked safe. They smell sweet when you first pop the seal but they are not so thats good. There are lots of different layered flavors. As you eat them, each bite releases flavors and its really enjoyable. The texture is really good, crunchy but soft not squishy. No complaints.

  Jake & Amos Amish Style Recipes Lime Pickles --- Flavor: n/a Texture: n/a --- These ended up being sweet pickles. I don't know why lemon pickles are sour and lime pickles are sweet. The color is shocking and when you look at them you KNOW they are going to taste funky. I didn't eat them after tasting they were sweet.

Tillen Farms Stonewell Kitchen Lemon Dill Pickles Gherkin Spears --- Flavor: 5/10 Texture: 5/10 --- These had a lemon slice pickled in with them in the jar. You can taste the lemon rind. Like you took pickle juice and half-ed it in the jar and added lemon juice as well. Not sour like a lemon. The pickles themselves have a soft texture, skin is soft like the meat. These are not great but I have had worse.

GOST R The Spicy Pickled Cucumbers Grown in Russia --- Flavor: 3/10 Texture: 7/10 --- I had to use google translate on these so I apologize if they are incorrect. These almost want to be sweet, I think it is star anise and I think I see clove in them, which I can kind of taste. I can also taste like the metal of the pickle jar lid, they have a slight metal taste like a fork was left in the jar. It’s not a flavor I care for, like it’s not terrible, but I can eat them. I like the texture. The texture is a generic gherkin. The skin is the same texture as the meat. They’re a little soft, but not squishy they’re not hard they still have a little bit of crunch. I’d be curious to try them after they’ve been in the fridge for a little bit and they’re cold and see if that changes.

Kosher Dill Claussen Chips --- Flavor: 8/10 Texture: 6/10 --- These have a soft cucumber texture but the skin firmer than I like.  These chips do not have the same texture as the spears or the wholes. I think I think my favorite might be the Claussen halves so I have to try those because with these the skin is a little bit more firmer it’s a little more firm that I like I like the skin to be just a little softer. This reminds me of baloney with the little red skin to it. I like the flavor the but the texture rating is little lower on because of the skin and the meat difference.

Uniquely Gourmet Papa Dill Pickles --- Flavor: 8/10 Texture: 8/10 --- Tastes similar to a Claussen but not as crisp. They have a good texture, soft meat but not mushy, firm not crunchy. I like them more than a Claussen  

Old South Pickled Asparagus Since 1947 --- Flavor: 10/10 Texture: 1/10 --- mild, not quote sweet, but something is soft about them and I like it. I really like the juice and will drink it afterwards. I wish they werecheaper I would eat them all the time, perfect, cannot think of any notes for improvment!

I think im going to start doing fast food pickles as well yall. I don't eat at alot of restaurants so I don't know who does and doesn't have pickles, but honestly I need to start keeping track. Firehouse subs Pickle Spear comes with sandwich @firehousesubs --- Flavor: 6/10 Texture:5/10 --- So I will say for a fast food pickle this isn't bad. It's got a nice crunch but the flavor is a little more mild than what I like. Not bad though, Would eat again

Mt. Olive Zesty Garlic Kosher Dill Spears --- Flavor: 8/10 Texture: 7/10 --- These have a really good garlic flavor. I don't know if the bits at the bottom are pieces of cubed garlic but I like eating those too. The walk the line at being overwhelming with the acid and garlic but don't cross it. I really enjoy them

Wild Harvested Gluten Free Foraged & Found Wild Alaskan Provisions Kelp Pickles Garlic & Dill --- Flavor: 3/10 Texture: 3/10 --- I could have swore I took a picture of these when I opened the jar but I searched through my phone with no luck. They looked like rubber bands when you took them out. Just rings, which make sense since these are kelp not cucumber. I can say, I miss the seeds. its a big part of the pickle experience. The first one I ate tasted like a legit pickle. It wasn't delicious but did taste like a pickle. The rest after that tasted like seaweed. They weren't terrible but you couldn't fool someone and tell them it was a cucumber. There was one in the jar that was REAL bad and tuned me off from the jar. it was squishy and gross and fishy, and had a bad texture and flavor.

  Rick's Picks Snacking Pickles Cumin-Lime Dill Pickle Spears --- Flavor: 3/10 Texture: 3/10 --- lots of spices or flavor or something.... I don't know what it is, but this pickle is something.... I can't single any specific flavors but its a pickle that is loud. I know the bag says cumin and lime but it has more of a chicken bullion cube flavor? Seriously I cannot place it. Texture is soft but not squishy. It is limp and rubbery no real crunch to it. I assume floppy-ness is caused by pouch? Package claims crispy which I did not experience.
