Sour Puss Pickles

Stripling's General Store Farmhouse Pickles --- Flavor: 7/10 Texture: 8/10 --- These came with a jalapeno in the jar so I was concerned I may not like them, but the jalapeno is so mild, you get the flavor but not the heat. I like them. They're strong though so pairing them with a cheese is the best I have found. I like them cut in half. Not too squishy, not to firm. The seed texture rocks. They are expensive though at $11 a jar.

Great Value Hamburger Dill Chips --- Flavor: 5/10 Texture: 5/10 --- run of the mill pickle but they did hit the spot for the craving I had.

 Mt. Olive Majestic Deli Style Kosher Dill Spears --- Flavor: 6/10 Texture: 6/10 --- texture is a little soft. Meat is the same as a the skin. Sort of in between mt olive and vlasic regular pickles, low vinegar flavor, not very salty, and almost wants to taste like garlic but  falls a little short. Taste more like a fermented pickle 

Vlasic Big Crunch Snack'mms Kosher Dill --- Flavor: 4/10 Texture: 5/10 --- These were ok when you first start eating them but the after taste was not enjoyable. I haven't been able to finish the jar because of the taste these leave in my mouth hours after eating them. Its almost fishy? I can't describe it.

Kroger Kosher Dill Sandwich Slims --- Flavor: 5/10 Texture: 5/10 --- As we have all come to know, I love a good sandwich sliced pickle. These didn't separate from the skin so the meat was firm but not hard.

 Greenway Farms of Georgia Garlic Dill Pickles Spears --- Flavor: 6/10 Texture: 6/10 --- I paid $11 for this tiny jar of pickles, and was sadly disappointed. They were not bad by any means, but this might be the most expensive jar of pickles. I've purchased for such a tiny amount as well. They had a lingering cucumber taste like a deli pickle, which I did like, they were salty, but not overly salted. That makes your mouth feel a little dry. The skin is a little sharp like a paper cut. They had a nice flavor. I would not pay for another jar of these, did not taste like an $11 jar of pickles.

Mt. Olive Kosher Dill Sliders --- Flavor: 5/10 Texture: 6/10 --- I like them being cut at an angle and making them a little larger than regular pickle chips. A salty regular pickle

Musco Family Pearls Specialties Garlic Hand-Stuffed Queen Olives --- Flavor: 5/10 Texture: 5/10 --- Nothing notable as far as olives go here. Really firm olive and really firm garlic. Salty and olive flavored. Garlic tastes like olive as well. No complaints

Amish Wedding Naturally Good Pickled Dilly Corn --- Flavor: 2/10 Texture: 5/10 --- I was really excited to try pickled baby corn for the texture, I was imagining a pickle brine flavor with corn texture so I paid too much money for these…. Only to be really disappointed. They are super sweet, and have a caramel corn taste to them. Imagine if you took the boxed caramel popcorn boy scouts sell and got it wet. Really sugary tasting. I threw these away. Really disappointing with how expensive they were

 Publix Kosher Baby Dill Whole --- Flavor: 5/10 Texture: 2/10 --- The skin and meat have the same texture, sort of slimy, but not bad. They are the right amount of firmness, not too hard, not too soft. Some did end up having sand and grits in them, which took away from the texture.

Vlasic Big Crunch Kosher Dill Baby Wholes --- Flavor: 5/10 Texture: 7/10 --- basic salty pickle. You do taste it a lot later, like your breath taste like grass at the back of your throat for a while after eating them. The texture is good and I like the skin to meat but the after taste is unsettling.

 Sucker Punch  Bold Burger Kosher Dill Chips --- Flavor: 5/10 Texture: 3/10 --- unique taste that I can't place, astringent like witch hazel or cleaner. Skin is hard and meat is soft.

Lidl Crunchy and Zesty Kosher Dill --- Flavor: 4/10 Texture: 5/10 --- a little too overpowering. I can't even pinpoint what is overpowering, maybe sour? Maybe salt? Not sure but I don't enjoy eating more than 2 in a sitting

Della Natura From Nature Pitted Kalamata Style --- Flavor: 6/10 Texture: 6/10 --- hmmmm, now that I'm typing the jar label up I am wondering why it doesn't say kalamata olives.... what does kalamata "style" mean exactly.... interesting... Tasty salty, everything I want in a kalamata olive. Its funny cause these are squishy and delicious, cannot complain at all. If they were other olives I wouldn't want that, but squishy is how I like my kalamatas

Mezzetta Family Co. Pickled Red Onions Sweet & Tangy --- Flavor: 9/10 Texture: 7/10 --- sweet and tangy.... Which I realize is what it says on the jar... So true to their label! I think these are made for sandwiches or salads but they didn't make it that far. Super tasty and ended up eating the whole jar in one setting rather than trying them on anything. They're a little pricy, but if they were cheaper I'd buy way more of them.

        Good & Gather Organic Kosher Baby Dills --- Flavor: 5/10 Texture: 5/10 --- If basic was a pickle. No notes, couldn't pick it out of a  line up. That doesn't mean it was bad, just nothing special.

Publix Kosherdill Sandwich Slices --- Flavor: 5/10 Texture: 6/10 --- Nothing of note, just a fun sandwich slice. They always make me think of tongues so I have a fondness for this cut

Kroger Zesty Kosher Dill Spears --- Flavor: 6/10 Texture: 8/10 --- mild spice but I like it. Its subtle and not overwhelming, it really only hits after you’ve eaten a few. I can't tell the spice blend, its weird, not bad, just weird. Nothing deliciously overwhelming, just notable that they're different and are a run-of-the-mill grocery store pickle
